At Google I/O 2026, CEO Sundar Pichai announced that 13 Google products now each have over 1 billion monthly users. The keynote took place at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.
AI models see massive adoption
The Gemini app has more than 900 million monthly active users, with over half added in the last 12 months. AI Overviews now serves over 2.5 billion monthly users, while AI Mode in Google Search has surpassed 1 billion monthly users. Five products—Google Search, Gmail, Android, Chrome, and YouTube—each have over 3 billion users.
Google's AI models are seeing massive adoption. The company processes 3.2 quadrillion tokens per month, a sevenfold increase from last year. Model APIs handle 19 billion tokens per minute, a sixfold growth since January 2025. Over 8.5 million developers build with Google AI models each month, and more than 375 customers have processed over a trillion tokens each in the past year.
The Nano Banana model has generated over 50 billion images. The SynthID tool has stamped over 100 billion images and videos, as well as over 60,000 years of audio assets. The SynthID detector in the Gemini app has been used more than 50 million times.
