Google error shows GTA 6 PS5 price as £0.16, days after pre-order leak fizzles

Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games have faced a wave of unconfirmed pricing leaks for Grand Theft Auto VI. A Google Shopping search result listed the PlayStation 5 version at £0.16 GBP (about $0.21). This figure appeared on social media after user Saukko505 shared the unexpected search snippet. The listing likely represents a data error rather than an intentional retail price.

European retailers list placeholder prices for Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders

Several European retailers have also published placeholder prices for pre-orders. The Italian Showgame site allowed customers to reserve copies of the game for PS5 and Xbox at €69.90 EUR (about $81.17) before inventory sold out. A Dutch retailer named Gameshop Twente currently lists the PlayStation 5 version at €99 EUR (about $115). These listings contradict official statements from the publisher.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously described the upcoming price as very reasonable. Industry analyst Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming speculates that pre-orders and a third trailer may not appear until July or August. This timeline contradicts earlier leak expectations regarding an immediate launch window.

The game targets a November 19th release date according to current industry reassurances. Rockstar Games has not confirmed the European placeholder listings or the Google Shopping error. The publisher maintains silence on official pre-order channels and final pricing details.
