FEVM FN80G Mini PC Launches for Around $1,039 with RTX 5060

FEVM has launched two new mini PCs, the FN80G and FA80G, that bring high-end desktop components into a chassis smaller than a typical laptop bag. These systems matter because they allow users to build powerful gaming or workstation rigs without sacrificing desk space. The company released these models in China on September 3, 2024, targeting buyers who need serious processing power in a compact form factor.

Compact 2.6L chassis houses high-end Intel and AMD configurations

The FN80G targets Intel users while the FA80G supports AMD processors. Both models share the same physical design, measuring 180mm by 168mm by 88mm. This compact footprint results in a total volume of just 2.6 liters. The small size makes these units suitable for tight workspaces or portable setups where traditional towers cannot fit.

FEVM designed the cooling system to handle significant power loads within this small space. The system supports a total power release of 250 watts, split between 100 watts for the CPU and 150 watts for the GPU. To manage heat, the company limits CPU temperatures to 85 degrees Celsius and GPU temperatures to 80 degrees Celsius under full load. The cooling solution generates 42 decibels of noise at maximum capacity.

Connectivity and storage options define the practical utility of these machines. The front panel includes a 40Gbps Thunderbolt 4 port for high-speed data transfer. Rear I/O features a 10GbE RJ45 port, a 2.5G RJ45 port, and a Type-C port dedicated to GPU signal output. Users can install up to 128GB of dual SO-DIMM DDR5 memory and two M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs. The system also supports up to six 4K displays simultaneously.

Pricing for the FEVM mini PCs starts at 6999 CNY (around $1,039) for the base Intel Ultra 5 230F and RTX 5060 configuration. Higher-end builds with AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and RTX 5090M 24G graphics cost 22199 CNY (around $3,295). The lineup includes various intermediate configurations with RTX 5060, 5060 Ti, and 5080M GPUs. All models are currently available for purchase in the Chinese market.

FEVM claims these systems support DLSS 4.5 technology to double frame rates in supported games. The hardware also enables AV1 encoding and decoding alongside Game Accelerator APO for optimized performance. These features aim to improve gaming efficiency and content creation workflows on compact hardware.
