ACEMAGIC W1-5400 mini PC launched with Ryzen 3 5400U for around $239

October 22, 2024 ACEMAGIC unveiled the W1-5400 mini PC, a smaller and more condensed alternative for those that want something smaller to use for their office/home. The aim is for consumers that are seeking a cheaper alternative to desktops. Something that will be easier to manage and place on their desks/behind their monitors. ACEMAGIC's W1-5400 is adding to the growing number of compact desktops that use AMD's Ryzen chips.

Compact 0.68L desktop features dual M.2 slots and HDMI 2.1 connectivity

The ACEMAGIC W1-5400 Mini PC uses an AMD Ryzen 3 5400U which has a 4-core Cezanne architecture. This serves as the brains of the unit and provides computing power for general usage. This does not need a bulky chassis since it can all be contained into a compact unit. That's what makes this unit a low-profile desktop PC alternative for overall productivity.

The W1-5400's physical size is measured at 128.2 x 128.2 x 41 mm. This comes with a volume of 0.68-liters. It weighs about 406 grams which makes it easy to move around.

RAM can either be 8GB or 16GB. The memory comes in the form of LPDDR4-3200 soldered RAM.

For wireless connections you have Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. In terms of ports there are a lot of options for peripherals. You get 4x USB-A 5Gbps (back), HDMI 2.1 (back), DP 1.4 (back), and 1GbE (back) ports.

For storage you have 2x M.2 2280 slots. One supports PCIe Gen3 and the other is only SATA.

In China it's priced at 1,599 CNY ($239) for the 8GB/256GB configuration. Then there is the higher-end model which offers 16GB/512GB and that will set you back 1,999 CNY ($299). Those configurations are now up for sale in China on the 22nd of October, 2024.
