The update targets specific 2026 Hisense TV models, including the UX, UR9, UR8, and U7 series. Devices running Google TV or VIDAA OS are eligible for the installation. This deployment allows Hisense owners to access advanced picture processing features that were previously unavailable on their existing sets.
Dolby Vision 2 introduces Content Intelligence to analyze video content in real time. The system uses an Intensity Slider to manage brightness and contrast levels automatically. Dolby Vision 2 Max adds Authentic Motion for smoother video playback, Light Sense 2 for ambient light adaptation, and Pro Settings for manual calibration.
Firmware updates are rolling out immediately to select models in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Additional Hisense TV models will receive the update in the coming weeks. Streaming partners including Canal+, iQIYI, and Peacock are expanding their support for the new standard to ensure compatible content delivery.
John Couling, SVP of Entertainment at Dolby Laboratories, stated that the update sets a new standard for television image quality. Sonny Ming, General Manager of Hisense TV Product Marketing, noted that the technology fulfills customer expectations for premium picture performance. The update is available now for eligible devices with more regions to follow.
