Chinese Gaming Monitors Shift to 200Hz+ Era, Leaving 144Hz Behind

The domestic gaming monitor market in China has fully transitioned into an era dominated by high-refresh-rate displays. Models featuring refresh rates of 200Hz and above now account for over 63% of total sales volume.

High-refresh gaming monitors now account for over 63% of sales volume in the domestic market.

Traditional monitors with 144Hz, 165Hz, or 180Hz panels are losing market share as consumers increasingly adopt faster 200Hz+ screens. This shift significantly reduces motion blur in first-person shooter games and improves aiming precision for players.

Domestic panel technology breakthroughs have driven production costs down, making high-refresh-rate monitors more accessible to budget buyers. Manufacturers now offer 300Hz models around the 3,000 RMB price point, with even cheaper thousand-yuan options available on the market.

Industry forecasts indicate that mainstream refresh rates will continue climbing toward the 300Hz to 480Hz range in the coming years. OLED and Mini LED display technologies are also steadily gaining penetration within the premium gaming monitor segment.

Market pricing has bifurcated into distinct tiers, with sub-1,000 RMB entry-level models and 2,000+ RMB mid-to-high-end products gaining share while mid-range items face pressure. Leading brands such as AOC, HKC, and KTC maintain strong positions, while Xiaomi rapidly expands across all price segments to target premium buyers.
