ASUS has launched a new motherboard model called the TUF GAMING Z890-BTF WIFI7. The company announced the product on its official website on May 22. The board introduces a back-connector design with a concise and capable aesthetic language.
Back-connector design simplifies cable management and improves airflow inside computer cases.
The motherboard follows an ATX form factor and includes four memory slots alongside five PCIe expansion slots. Power delivery relies on a 16+1+2+1 phase configuration using 80A DrMOS components. Storage options consist of one PCIe Gen5 M.2 slot and three additional M.2 slots.
The primary PCIe slot features a GC-HPWR gold finger power interface and a PCIe Q-Release quick release mechanism. Connectivity includes 2.5GbE wired networking and Wi-Fi 7 wireless support. The rear panel provides two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, while the front header supports one USB-C port at 20Gbps.
The product launch positions this board within ASUS's TUF Gaming lineup for Intel Z890 chipsets. The back-connector design aims to simplify cable management and improve airflow inside computer cases. This approach aligns with industry trends toward cleaner internal builds without sacrificing connectivity options.
