AMD's server CPU revenue share hit a record 46.2% in the first quarter of 2026, according to Mercury Research. The company's overall CPU unit share reached 30%, up 5.6 percentage points year-over-year. Total revenue share across all segments increased to 38.1%.
EPYC adoption drives record server revenue share
In the server market, AMD's unit share now stands at 33.2%. The company's client revenue share rose to 31.4%, while desktop revenue share reached 37.6%, down 5.0 points quarter-over-quarter. Notebook revenue share increased to 28.9%. AMD has raised its server CPU forecast to $120 billion.

AMD attributed the gains to sustained EPYC adoption across cloud and enterprise customers, as well as accelerating AI momentum with Instinct adoption expanding among hyperscale and enterprise clients. The company stated that Mercury's report reinforces its leadership position.
AMD's EPYC processors, including the Genoa, Turin, Venice, and Verano families, continue to drive growth. The company faces competition from Intel in the server and client markets, but the latest data shows AMD gaining ground across multiple segments.
