Synology has launched the RackStation RS6426xs+, its first 64-bay model in the RS series. The new NAS supports up to 64 drives when paired with expansion units, delivering raw storage capacity near 1PB. It is designed for enterprise environments that require high-density storage and high performance.

The RS6426xs+ supports up to 64 drives with expansion units.

The RS6426xs+ comes with 16 internal drive bays and can be expanded externally. It is equipped with dual 10GbE network ports, with optional upgrades to 25GbE or Fibre Channel modules. The system also supports GPU acceleration for AI and OCR workloads. According to Synology, the unit achieves over 500,000 random read IOPS and can handle simultaneous backups of thousands of terminals without lag. It includes redundant power supplies for reliability.

Alongside the RS6426xs+, Synology introduced other RackStation models. The RS4826xs+ expands to 48 bays for high-density storage. The RS3626xs supports up to 36 bays and delivers over 370,000 random read IOPS. The RS1626xs+ has a compact depth of about 66 cm, supports up to 16 bays, and offers over 350,000 IOPS. All models are backed by the Synology SCB enterprise service, which includes 24/7 support, spare replacement, on-site repair, and annual inspection.
