Modder TheHiepDang has published BloodborneX 1.0.0 with native DLSS 5 support for the game. The new release is very important as it enables older mobile GPUs to run Bloodborne at playable framerates in the lack of official port for the game on PC.

Unofficial port uses Vulkan and AI rendering to boost performance

The mod is based on a custom Lantern Engine 1.0.0. It uses Vulkan API on 64bit . We already saw some attempts like that.

The last update for Bloodborne and this one have similar balance/stability issues covered in our coverage. With the new release the unofficial port received a crucial new performance feature.

It now fully supports native NVIDIA DLSS 5 AI rendering tech. According to TheHiepDang, it's the first time that the game got the AI reconsctructed visuals on PC. You need to manually add nvgx_dlssnr.dll to the executable directory to get it work.

It runs very well on mobile RTX 3070 Laptop GPU (8GB VRAM). It runs at 45-47FPS with 21.4-22.4ms frame times in open spaces. You can get 176MB installer package on GitHub for global access.

The new release proves that the unofficial ports can take advantage of the latest rendering techniques to prolong the life of old hardware. The open source code and installer make it easy for other developers to expand the mod. Now PC gamers, who don't have top-tier desktop hardware, can play Bloodborne.
