Japanese PC Hardware maker Crowxis enters the market with their first wave of Radeon RX 9000 GPUs available for consumers in the country. The availability of these cards were first spotted through CFD Sales listing on their Japan e-commerce site which shows that it is now going from idea to real products on the shelves. This is an important release as it shows a new brand for consumers who are following AMD GPU releases even though they are familiar with the GPU hardware itself. If you're a builder looking for small form factor or high clocking speed GPUs, then this first wave of releases would be of interest for you.
Five GPU variants listed by CFD Sales with no confirmed pricing or international release
The new Crowxis brand seems to be leveraging existing manufacturing partners as all of the listed cards are using PowerColor's designs. It can also be seen through the branding on the cooler which has the PowerColor name. This is Crowxis' way of getting already established reference designs without having to spend the time to design their own custom hardware.
Spec comparison
| Spec | RX 9070 XT | RX 9070 GRE | RX 9060 XT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Memory | 16GB | 12GB | 8GB / 16GB |
| Boost Clock | 2970 MHz | 2790 MHz | 3130–3230 MHz |
| Cooler Length | 289 mm | 289 mm | 200 mm |
| Power Connectors | 2x 8-pin | 2x 8-pin | 1x 8-pin |
The new lineup of Crowxis cards currently have 5 different model variants like the RX 9070 XT, RX 9070 GRE, and 3 variants of the RX 9060 XT. Through using PowerColor's engineering, they are making sure that the cards are well cooled and built with quality from the start.
There are major differences between the 5 different model variants in terms of technical specifications. This allows for different form factors and performance that would fit the user's needs. There are some common features across the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GRE which are both using the 289mm triple fan cooler setup and needs 2x 8 pin power connectors.
RX 9070 XT has a boost clock speed of 2970 MHz for 16GB memory. RX 9070 GRE has a boost clock speed of 2790 MHz and 12GB of memory. However, RX 9060 XT cards have a much more compact 200mm dual fan design which only needs a single 8 pin power connector.
High end and mid range cards have different connectivity options and internal parts as well. RX 9070 series have 3 Displayport 2.1a and a single HDMI 2.1b. Meanwhile, RX 9060 XT series have 2 Displayport outputs and a single HDMI port.
All models have Japanese made dual ball bearing fans for their fans and also ring blade fan design which enables semi-fanless operation under 50 degrees C. Factory overclocking can also be seen on RX 9060 XT 16GB Black models as they run at 3230 MHz which is faster than the typical reference. On the other hand, RX 9060 XT 8GB White is clocked at 3130 MHz.
There are no details on pricing and availability yet since CFD Sales has not listed the prices for these models at the moment. Crowxis is currently a brand that is only available in Japan. There has been no mention of them releasing internationally just yet.
This means it's currently unavailable for buyers worldwide to get these specific models. Also, there is no available information on prices, so there is no way to compare these cards to Powercolor/AMD reference cards in other countries for now.
