No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 Launch Slipped to March 2027

Players waiting for the full release of Moon Studios' action RPG No Rest for the Wicked will face a significant wait. The studio has officially pushed the 1.0 launch date to March 2027, extending the early access period by over a year. This delay ensures the developers have enough time to refine the game's core systems before the final release.

Moon Studios extends early access period to refine class system

The extended timeline gives the team space to address feedback from the current early access build. Moon Studios CEO Thomas Mahler explained that the studio shipped the game earlier this year but needs more time to integrate all planned features. The team is currently focused on adding a class system and balancing gameplay mechanics.

An open Public Test Realm (PTR) is scheduled for December to let players test these new features. Mahler stated this will be the last test version before the March 2027 launch. The studio emphasized that they are not quite ready for the full release and need this extra time for playtesting.

PC players who purchased the Founders Pack will have their access extended until January 1, 2027. Pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 version will commence in January 2027. These changes ensure all platforms align with the final release schedule.

We looked at the last No Rest for the Wicked update, where several of the same balance and stability themes came up. This new delay continues that focus on refining the game's core experience. The studio aims to deliver a polished product when the game finally launches in March 2027.
