NVIDIA GeForce NOW Linux App Goes Stable, Adds DLSS Latency Fixes

NVIDIA has stabilized its GeForce NOW native Linux application, moving it out of beta status for users on Ubuntu 24.04 and later. This shift matters because Linux gamers can now access the cloud gaming service with greater reliability and without the instability typical of pre-release software. The company also optimized its cloud-based DLSS technology to reduce input latency, a change that improves responsiveness for players streaming at 60 or 120 FPS on 1440p or 4K displays.

Stable Linux client and lower latency for cloud gamers

The GeForce NOW platform now includes a new Flatpack repository to simplify installation and future updates for Linux users. NVIDIA stated that the release focuses on performance, stability, and polish based on months of community feedback. Users can toggle DLSS Frame Generation to experience more responsive gameplay with reduced latency during cloud sessions.

The update brings nine new titles to the supported game library. Car Wash Simulator, Pax Autocratica, Clawed, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, Sandustry, Cat Mail Co., Misery, Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo, and Pratfall are now available to stream. These additions expand the options for users who rely on GeForce NOW for gaming on Linux hardware.
