The software update targets three specific laptop models: the HUAWEI MateBook Fold Ultimate Designer, the HUAWEI MateBook Pro, and the HUAWEI MateBook 14 HarmonyOS edition. Users must ensure their devices are running at least version 6.1.0.130SP15 before they can apply the upgrade. The complete installation package weighs 15.46GB.

Huawei states that the update adds practical features across several categories. The company says the update adds a large number of practical features in visual animations, AI office, image editing, privacy security, and system tools. New visual elements include spatial light effects on Dock icons and particle animations. The AI Office suite introduces 'Xiaoyi Huiji,' which supports real-time recording, transcription, and English voice recognition.
Privacy and system utility improvements round out the feature set. The update introduces HarmonyOS Passkey to enable passwordless authentication for users. System tools now include a history clipboard, extended wireless screen mirroring, and multi-image printing capabilities. The HarmonyOS 7 Beta carries the build identifier 7.0.0.102 SP5. Huawei made this beta version available to the public starting on August 8, 2024. This release marks the first official push of the HarmonyOS 7 Flower Fan Beta for PC hardware.
