Flagship model offers massive core counts and enhanced energy telemetry for modern data centers

The flagship Xeon 6990E+ model leads the series with up to 288 E-cores per SKU. Intel designed these processors around a large cache architecture, featuring 576 MB of enhanced low-latency last-level cache. The chips support twelve-channel DDR5 memory running at speeds up to 8000 MT/s, providing substantial bandwidth for demanding server applications.

Intel claims the Xeon 6990E+ delivers thirty percent greater average performance per thread compared to 's EPYC 9965 processor. The company also reports a thirty percent improvement in performance per watt at forty percent CPU usage during typical workloads. When measured against Intel's own previous generation Xeon 6780E, the new silicon offers a fifty-five percent improvement and a one hundred twenty-six percent lead in total average performance.

The platform introduces Application Energy Telemetry technology to provide granular energy data directly from the silicon.
