Infinity Ward updated the game engine to deliver higher graphical quality. The changes include industry-leading visual effects, lighting updates, new materials, and refined character rendering. These enhancements target a noticeable leap forward in overall image clarity.
The developers promised expanded scale and density for all modes. They also noted improved responsiveness and consistency across every available mode. Jack O'Hara, co-studio head at Infinity Ward, described the development process as smooth. He stated that the game got up and running on the platform quickly once hardware access was secured.
The game launches globally on October 23 for all listed platforms. Cross-play functionality between Nintendo Switch 2 and other systems is currently under testing. A final decision regarding cross-play support in the retail version has not been made yet.
