XASTRA AR400-BK CPU Cooler Launches for Around $15 in Japan

XASTRA introduces the AR400-BK slim sideflow CPU cooler, a compact solution designed for users with limited case clearance or specific airflow requirements. The device targets builders who need efficient cooling in tight spaces without sacrificing thermal performance. This release provides a budget-friendly option for maintaining stable temperatures in modern desktop configurations.

Budget-friendly 44mm heatsink arrives in Japan on July 17

The AR400-BK features a narrow 44mm heatsink profile that fits within a slim sideflow design. It utilizes four 6mm anti-gravity heatpipes to transfer heat from the CPU to the aluminum fins. The cooler includes the FB120 fan, which operates at speeds between 800 and 1,800 RPM to balance airflow and noise. This fan configuration delivers a maximum airflow of 73.5 CFM and a static pressure of 2.2 mmH2O.

The AR400-BK is priced at 2,480 JPY (around $15.32) and will be available in Japan starting July 17, 2026. The FB120 fans are priced at 980 JPY (around $6.05) and share the same release date. XASTRA explicitly states that the AR400-BK is incompatible with the Corvus CR410 ARGB case released in February 2026. This restriction highlights the importance of checking physical dimensions before purchase.

This launch expands XASTRA's lineup with affordable cooling components for both Intel and AMD platforms. The combination of the AR400-BK cooler and FB120 fans offers a complete solution for budget-conscious builders. Users can expect reliable thermal performance within the specified noise limits of 31.6 dBA.
