NetEase Games will release the second major expansion for Where Winds Meet in May 2026. The update opens the Imperial Palace, a massive new area covering 1 million square meters with over 3,000 NPCs.

The expansion adds a homestead system, a companion system, and Guantlet weapons. New game modes include Martial Path Domain, a 5-player co-op PvE mode, and Ancient Tombs, an exploration mode.
A panda cosmetic will be available from May 19, 2026 to raise wildlife protection awareness.
Eric Zheng, head of publishing for Where Winds Meet, said the team is committed to delivering rich, high-quality content each season and maintaining a steady stream of updates. He emphasized that the developers will continue to listen to player feedback to keep the game world vibrant.
