Thermalright APFX Series SFX PSU: 80 PLUS Platinum 850W/1000W

Thermalright announced the APFX Series on April 29. This new power supply unit adopts an SFX form factor. The APFX Series targets compact desktop builds that require reliable power delivery. The announcement marks Thermalright's entry into the small-form-factor market segment.

The APFX Series offers two wattage options of 850W and 1000W. It holds 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency certification. The unit complies with the Intel ATX 3.1 specification. It supports a total system peak power handling of 200%. The design includes a native 600W 12V-2×6 interface and cable for modern graphics cards.

Compact power supply unit targets small desktop builds with high efficiency

Internal construction utilizes an LLC resonant and DC-DC conversion circuit topology. The manufacturer specifies full Japanese capacitors rated for 105 degrees Celsius. Japanese major brand solid capacitors also appear in the build. A 92mm fan with FDB bearings provides cooling with temperature control. The cables feature a textured modular design for easier management.
