The SANDISK NAS 600 is a SATA-based drive built in a standard 2.5-inch 7mm form factor. It offers capacity options ranging from 500GB to 4TB, making it suitable for smaller home or office NAS units. This model focuses on durability with a rated mean time between failures of 2.25 million hours and a write endurance of 2500TBW for the largest capacity.

Spec comparison

Spec SANDISK NAS 600 SANDISK NAS 800
Form Factor 2.5" 7mm M.2 2280
Interface SATA PCIe Gen5
Max Capacity 4TB 7.68TB
Write Endurance 2500TBW 14 PBW
Sequential Read N/A 14.9GB/s

In contrast, the SANDISK NAS 800 is an NVMe drive using the M.2 2280 form factor and supporting the PCIe Gen5 interface. It delivers significantly higher performance with sequential read speeds up to 14.9GB/s and write speeds up to 13.2GB/s for the 1.92TB model. The top-tier 3.84TB version handles random read and write operations at 2.3M and 2M IOPS respectively, while the 7.68TB model offers up to 14 PBW of write endurance.

Pricing for the SANDISK NAS 600 starts at 179.99 USD (around $180) for the 500GB model and rises to 999.99 USD (around $1,000) for the 4TB version. The more powerful SANDISK NAS 800 begins at 309.99 USD (around $310) for 960GB and scales up to 2,199.99 USD (around $2,200) for the 7.68TB capacity. These prices reflect the premium for high-endurance components required for always-on storage servers.
