Samsung's next-generation foldables and smartwatches have appeared in FCC filings, signaling an imminent launch. The filings list models for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Clarity is expected at Samsung's Unpacked launch event on July 22 in London.
FCC listings include multiple models
The FCC database includes model numbers SM-F776U for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and SM-F976U for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. For smartwatches, the Watch 9 series appears as SM-L340, SM-L345, SM-L350, and SM-L355, while the Watch Ultra 2 is listed as SM-L715. These US-bound devices are likely to debut alongside each other.
Notably absent from the FCC listings are the SM-F971U, believed to be a Galaxy Z Fold 8 'wide' variant, and the SM-L510/SM-L515, thought to be the Galaxy Watch 9 Classic. Their omission casts doubt on a US launch for those models at this time.
The filings confirm that Samsung is preparing a major hardware refresh for the second half of 2025. The July 22 Unpacked event in London will likely provide full details on specs, pricing, and availability.
