Samsung Display has unveiled a suite of new display technologies at Display Week 2026. The showcase highlights advancements in sensor-integrated panels, high-brightness quantum dot displays, and stretchable screens for automotive applications.
The company introduced a 6.8-inch Sensor OLED panel with a pixel density of 500 ppi. This panel incorporates biometric sensors capable of detecting heart rate and blood pressure by analyzing reflected light from organic diodes. Samsung also demonstrated Flex Chroma Pixel technology, which achieves a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits using LEAD technology and covers 96 percent of the BT.2020 color gamut.

New EL-QD displays offer a 25 percent increase in brightness compared to previous iterations. The 18-inch version reaches 500 nits, while the 6.5-inch variant achieves 400 nits. Additionally, the Stretchable Display 2.0 for automotive dashboards provides 200 ppi, representing a 67 percent increase over version 1.0.
Samsung Display has not confirmed specific launch windows for these technologies. Industry observers speculate that Flex Magic Pixel technology may appear in future Galaxy S Ultra devices, but the company has not verified this integration.

Samsung Display provided these details during its presentation at Display Week 2026.
