Realtek has introduced two new silicon components that received recognition at COMPUTEX 2026. The company unveiled the RTL9151AS PCIe bridge expansion chip alongside the RTD2811 edge AI acceleration chip. Both products earned a Best Choice Award during the technology exhibition in June.
New silicon components expand connectivity and deliver edge AI processing at COMPUTEX 2026
The RTL9151AS functions as a connectivity hub designed to expand system capabilities. It connects via a single PCIe Gen4 x1 uplink to provide additional ports for peripherals and networking equipment. The RTD2811 operates as an edge AI accelerator built for compact devices. It integrates processing cores capable of handling machine learning workloads at the network edge.
The RTL9151AS expands one Ethernet port, seven USB ports, and four SATA ports from a single PCIe lane. The Ethernet connection supports 2.5GbE speeds while the USB interface reaches 10Gbps. SATA connections operate at 6Gbps for storage expansion. The RTD2811 delivers 20 TOPS of AI performance using an integrated NPU. It processes data in INT4, INT8, and FP8 formats to support CNNs and Transformer models efficiently.
The RTD2811 combines a big-core CPU and GPU with LPDDR4X, LPDDR5, and LPDDR5X memory support. This architecture allows the chip to function as both an accelerator and a main system-on-chip. The design targets edge devices requiring high computational throughput without external hardware dependencies.
Realtek did not disclose pricing or availability details for either component in the available reports. The products remain unconfirmed for commercial release at this time.
