Nintendo clarifies missing cable complaints with unboxing video
The included HDMI cable is 5 feet long, meets the HDMI 2.1 specification, and supports a 4K/60 Hz signal. These specifications were verified through an official post from Nintendo's support team in Japan.
Higher refresh rates are possible at lower resolutions according to the company's guidance. Using an alternative cable will not enable Variable Refresh Rate functionality to reduce screen tearing during high-speed gaming in docked mode.
Nintendo Support Japan clarified that customers who purchased the Switch 2 may have received units without an included HDMI cable. The company provided an unboxing video and help article to show accessory locations.
