Monster Fantasy Brings AI Villagers and Rideable Monsters to PC

Gamers seeking a blend of intense combat and relaxed social interaction have a new option with the announcement of Monster Fantasy. Jotoyo Games revealed this title on July 15 as a project designed to merge high-stakes monster hunting with the gentle pace of village life. This hybrid approach aims to attract players who enjoy the thrill of battle but also value the community aspects of simulation games.

Kickstarter campaign begins July 15 for hybrid action RPG

The game launches on PC following a funding drive on Kickstarter. Players step into the world of Eldoras, which is rendered in a colorful Chibi art style. The core loop involves exploring this world to defeat powerful creatures and then returning to build and manage a settlement.

Monster Fantasy features four distinct playable classes: Warrior, Mage, Archer, and Swordsman. Each class offers different combat mechanics for tackling the over 50 massive monsters that populate the game world. Players can tame these defeated beasts and evolve them into rideable mounts for faster travel across the map.

Beyond the combat and collection aspects, the game includes more than 100 villager NPCs. These characters are powered by real-time AI, allowing them to hold dynamic conversations with the player. This system adds depth to the life sim elements by making the village feel like a living community rather than a static backdrop.

The Kickstarter campaign for Monster Fantasy is scheduled to begin on July 15. The studio has not yet confirmed the year for this launch or the final release date for the PC version. Players interested in supporting the development or learning more about the game can expect updates as the funding period approaches.
