Minisforum has updated its N5 Air NAS lineup with a new model that targets budget-conscious users building home servers. The N5 Air-7640 replaces the previous Ryzen 7 255 processor with a more efficient AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS chip. This change lowers the entry price for barebone systems while maintaining strong single-core performance for network tasks. New Zen 4 model offers 174TB storage and dual 10Gbps ports

The new device centers on the AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS processor, which uses the Zen 4 architecture. This six-core, twelve-thread chip integrates Radeon 760M graphics and operates within a 35W to 54W thermal design power range. The system functions as both a mini PC and a network-attached storage unit, offering flexibility for mixed workloads.
