LG has launched the UltraGear Evo 45GX950B, a new gaming monitor designed for high-performance visual experiences. The company announced the product on June 11, 2024, targeting enthusiasts who demand precise color accuracy and rapid response times.
The monitor features a 44.5-inch OLED panel with a 5K2K resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate and delivers a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time. The screen carries DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Brightness reaches 275 nits for standard dynamic range content and peaks at 1300 nits in HDR mode. The display includes an 800R curvature to enhance immersion.
LG equipped the UltraGear Evo 45GX950B with built-in AI processors for upscaling, scene optimization, and sound enhancement. Connectivity options include one DisplayPort 2.1 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB-C port supporting 90W power delivery. The unit also features two USB-A ports and a headphone jack. Integrated speakers provide 14 watts of audio output. The monitor supports FreeSync Premium Pro, G-SYNC compatibility, and VESA AdaptiveSync.
The UltraGear Evo 45GX950B is available in Japan with a standard price of 329,800 JPY (about $2,099). A launch discount reduces the cost to 259,800 JPY (about $1,654). Shipping in Japan began on June 11, 2024. LG has not confirmed a European release date or other regional availability.
LG has not confirmed the launch window for markets outside Japan. The company stated that no concrete information exists regarding a European launch at this time.
