Lenovo has added the Legion Y9000X 2026 to its official lineup, targeting gamers who need high performance in a portable chassis. This thin-and-light gaming laptop matters because it packs a top-tier processor and next-generation graphics into a body that weighs just under two kilograms. Buyers looking for a balance between raw power and everyday portability should note this new configuration.
Thin gaming laptop packs 290HX Plus processor and OLED display
The device centers on the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 graphics options. The RTX 5070 variant includes 12GB of video memory, while the RTX 5060 model comes with 8GB. Lenovo designed the system to deliver 170W of total power release, allowing the CPU to sustain 105W and the GPU to run at a factory-overclocked 115W.

Visuals come from a 2560×1600 OLED panel that refreshes at 240Hz and supports Dolby Vision. The screen achieves 1100 nits of HDR brightness and holds the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. Internal components include dual 16GB DDR5-6400 SO-DIMM modules and a 1TB PCIe SSD with a second M.2 slot for future storage upgrades.

Lenovo equipped the laptop with Wi-Fi 7 for faster wireless connectivity and a 5MP camera with infrared support. The chassis measures approximately 15.9mm thick and weighs about 1.98kg. Input features include a 1.6mm travel keyboard with replaceable keycaps and a 120mm x 75mm integrated precision touchpad. The cooling system uses a second-generation Qiankun snare design with 3D Mesh composite heat pipes.
Pricing starts at 15,499 CNY (around $2,283) for the RTX 5060 configuration and reaches 17,499 CNY (around $2,578) for the RTX 5070 model. The laptop is currently listed as pending release in China.
