Intel is reportedly preparing a new CPU variant for the Edge computing segment under its upcoming Nova Lake lineup.
Rumor details edge-focused model with Arctic Wolf architecture cores.
According to reports from a Weibo leaker, this Edge-focused model will feature eight E-Cores based on the Arctic Wolf architecture. The chip will omit P-Cores entirely and instead include 12 Xe3P iGPU cores. Intel plans to use a BGA design for these edge platforms rather than traditional socketed configurations.

The Nova Lake family is expected to launch later this year, with a potential teaser at this year's Computex event. The leaker also mentioned that entry-level Xeon variants may feature the same 12 Xe3P core configuration, though those details remain unconfirmed.
The inclusion of 12 Xe3P cores should provide decent graphics capabilities for edge devices. This matches the performance level seen on the Panther Lake lineup, which already utilizes similar iGPU configurations.
