Intel's weakest integrated graphics chip for Panther Lake laptops shows very low performance in early benchmarks. The Graphics 2 Xe3 unit tests on a Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 laptop reveal severe limitations for modern gaming.
Early testing shows the integrated chip struggles with modern game demands and falls behind rival AMD solutions.
The iGPU sits inside the Intel Core Ultra 5 322 processor and uses only 16 shader units to handle graphics tasks. This minimal hardware configuration places it below current AMD Radeon 840M and Radeon 820M chips in raw power.
Benchmark scores highlight the performance gap across multiple testing suites. The chip earns 35.6 points on the 3DMark Performance rating, 3683 points on 3DMark 11, and 23017 points for Cloud Gate Standard Graphics. It also scores 3085 points in Fire Strike Graphics and 1362 points in Time Spy Graphics.
Gaming tests show the chip struggles with anything beyond older or less demanding titles like Dota 2. Newer games overwhelm the graphics processor even at a resolution of only 1920 by 1080 pixels and minimum detail settings.
Notebookcheck tested the hardware and warned that the integrated solution falls between two sluggish AMD chips. The review suggests buyers should avoid this specific configuration if they plan to play modern games.
