Intel has begun development on its 10A and 7A fabrication technologies. The company also provided an update on the progress of its 14A node during a recent conference.
Intel advances next-decade process nodes while targeting October PDK release for 14A node
Lip-Bu Tan stated that Intel is actively working on the roadmap for these advanced process nodes. The 14A node already has a v0.5 Process Design Kit available for test chips to evaluate yield and design capabilities.

Intel aims to release the v0.9 PDK for the 14A node by October. Multiple customers are currently engaged with Intel regarding this node to define product requirements, foundry location preferences, and necessary capacity.
The company expects risk production for the 14A process in 2028 and volume production in 2029. The 10A and 7A processes will likely utilize ASML's High-NA EUV lithography tools to meet future performance demands.
