HP has released the OmniBook X Flip 16 globally, marking a significant update to its convertible lineup. The new model shifts from previous Intel Core Ultra generations to the latest Panther Lake platform for Intel configurations and introduces AMD Ryzen AI 400 series processors for the first time in this range.

The laptop features a 16-inch OLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1800p (2.8K) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports HDR brightness up to 1,100 nits. The device supports a convertible form factor that enables use as both a traditional laptop and a tablet, complete with integrated stylus functionality.
Under the hood, users can choose between Intel Core Ultra 5/7/9 or AMD Ryzen AI 5/7/9 CPUs. Memory options include 16 GB, 24 GB, or 32 GB of RAM. AMD-based configurations utilize PCIe Gen 4 solid-state drives, while Intel-powered versions feature higher-speed PCIe Gen 5 storage options.
Every model includes a 70-watt-hour battery pack and supports Wi-Fi 7 networking standards. Consumers can choose from three distinct color options: Atmospheric Blue, Eclipse Grey, and Meteor Silver. AMD variants feature USB4 connectivity, replacing the Thunderbolt 4 interface found in previous iterations.
Pricing starts at $1,499 for US configurations with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor. In the UK market, entry-level configurations start at £1,299 for models equipped with a Core Ultra 7 processor, 16 gigabytes of memory, and a 1-terabyte drive. Eurozone prices start at €1,699 for the same configuration.
This new release follows prior iterations of the series that relied on older generation Intel processing units. The launch allows HP to strengthen its presence in the high-end convertible segment through enhanced artificial intelligence features and advanced screen technology.
