Hisense G7 PRO 27-Inch Monitor Opens Pre-sale in China with Dual-Mode Display and 2000 Nits Brightness

Hisense has launched its G7 PRO gaming monitor in China, opening pre-orders on May 8, 2024. The 27-inch display targets gamers seeking high refresh rates and competitive performance metrics. The product joins a crowded market of high-speed monitors but distinguishes itself with specific dual-mode capabilities and local dimming technology.

New gaming monitor targets high refresh rates with dual-mode capabilities

The monitor features an anti-reflective mirror black obsidian screen with a peak brightness of 2000 nits. It supports a dual-mode display configuration, allowing users to switch between 4K resolution at 180Hz and Full HD resolution at 360Hz. The panel includes 1152 local dimming zones and supports 10-bit color depth through 8-bit plus frame rate control. Color coverage reaches 99 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut, and the response time is rated at 1ms in gray-to-gray transitions.

The G7 PRO is available in China with two pricing tiers. The launch price is set at 2699 CNY, which is approximately $395. The standard pricing for the monitor is 2999 CNY, or about $439. Pre-sales began on the launch date of May 8, 2024. The device includes connectivity options such as two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, a 90W USB-C port, two USB-A ports with KVM support, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also supports VESA 75x75mm wall mounting.

This release highlights the ongoing trend of monitors offering variable refresh rates to accommodate different performance needs. The ability to toggle between high resolution and ultra-high refresh rates provides flexibility for both competitive gaming and media consumption. The inclusion of 2000 nits brightness and extensive local dimming zones aims to improve contrast and visibility in bright environments. Hisense positions the G7 PRO as a versatile option for users who require both visual fidelity and speed.
