Grounded 2's latest patch eliminates a massive issue for PC users. Obsidian Entertainment has cut the installation size of Grounded 2 in half. With the most recent update, you'll save tons of space on your hard drive or SSD.
Obsidian halves storage footprint with latest patch
This is great news for gamers who don't have much space. Now, you can install Grounded 2 without having to sacrifice space for other games.
Grounded 2 is a sequel to the survival crafting game developed by Obsidian originally. The game puts the unique world of bugs on a much larger stage with PC users. The most recent update is specifically for the PC version. It aims to cut down on some technical bloat that's built up since the game first launched.
With the latest update, the installation size is 51 percent smaller. It's likely due to a few compressed assets and the removal of some duplicate files. But, it's now significantly smaller in size when it comes to your system's storage space. That's important so you don't have to allocate huge chunks of space for one game.
Not only does the latest patch help with the overall experience for those who may have smaller hard drives. But, it makes it easier for newcomers to jump in without having to worry about the high storage space needed. The update is now live and you can download it on PC. The game itself is still a survival game that's all about exploring and crafting.
