Google expanded its pricing strategy beyond emerging markets by introducing this US reduction. India already saw a dedicated budget tier priced at 5 USD per month. Anthropic has not launched an India-specific price or budget tier to compete in that market.
Google integrates various artificial intelligence utilities directly within the Google AI Plus subscription package. Chi-Hua Chien noted that established technology firms like Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, and Adobe have lost some of their market share over time. He added that these companies still retain significant value despite recent shifts.
Google AI Plus remains available at 4.99 USD per month in the US region. The subscription includes expanded storage and access to core generative features. Anthropic continues to operate without a matching budget tier for the Indian market.
