Gigabyte has updated its Z890 DUO X series motherboards with native support for Intel's Binary Optimization Tool (iBOT). This software update enables the boards to leverage iBOT technology, which optimizes game performance without requiring changes to game code or hardware. The update directly impacts PC builders using these platforms by unlocking potential frame rate improvements in supported titles.
Z890 DUO X boards enable transparent game optimization with up to 22 percent frame rate gains without hardware changes.
The Z890 DUO X series includes the Gigabyte Z890M FORCE DUO X and Z890 AORUS ELITE DUO X motherboards. These boards are designed for Intel's latest platform and target enthusiasts seeking performance enhancements through software optimization rather than hardware modifications.
iBOT delivers up to 22% in-game frame rate gains across more than a dozen mainstream titles, including Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The technology operates transparently within the system, requiring no user intervention beyond enabling the feature on compatible motherboards.
Gigabyte also highlights its D5 Technology II and Ultra Turbo Mode features on these boards. D5 Technology II provides approximately 10% memory performance improvement, while Ultra Turbo Mode offers up to 35% additional CPU performance through a three-tier enhancement system. These optimizations complement the iBOT support for comprehensive performance gains.
The Z890M FORCE DUO X and Z890 AORUS ELITE DUO X models include a four-year warranty after registration. This extended coverage applies alongside the software features, providing additional value to users investing in these platforms.
