Getac has introduced the ZX80W, an eight-inch rugged tablet designed for field operations in harsh environments. The tablet is designed for industrial professionals requiring dependable performance in harsh environments.

The ZX80W runs on Qualcomm's Dragonwing QCS6490 ARM processor paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of storage. It operates on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC, providing a familiar desktop interface for enterprise applications.

The tablet features an eight-inch LCD touchscreen display rated at 1,000 nits of brightness for outdoor readability. The MIL-STD-810H certification guarantees durability against falls from six feet and operation within temperatures ranging from minus 29 to 63 degrees Celsius. The chassis also carries an IP67 rating, allowing submersion in one meter of water.

Battery configurations include a fixed 4,060 mAh unit or swappable options ranging from 4,990 mAh to 9,980 mAh for extended runtime. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and optional dual SIM/eSIM support for cellular networks.

The device weighs approximately 590 grams and measures 234 by 149.8 by 17.6 millimeters in its standard configuration. It includes a USB Type-C port with display output and power delivery capabilities alongside a microSD card slot.
