HoYoverse will release Genshin Impact Version 6.6, titled Luna VII, on May 20, 2026. The update introduces three new characters: Nicole Reeyn, a 5-star Pyro Catalyst user; Prune, a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user; and Lohen, a 5-star Cryo Polearm DPS who serves as the Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius' Fifth Company.
New Archon Quest and Dottore boss fight
The update adds a new Archon Quest in Sumeru where Nahida falls into a slumber and a Dottore-like antagonist appears. Completing the quest unlocks a new weekly boss fight against Dottore. Players can earn 560 Primogems from the Archon Quest rewards. Two new artifact sets will also be available. Additionally, Hexerei buffs will affect seven legacy Mondstadt characters.
Version 6.6 includes expanded Manikin actions for photo mode, a Klee-led mini-game event, and the Miliastra Wonderland sports festival. A teaser for Version 7.0, set in Snezhnaya, is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
HoYoverse has not clarified whether the Dottore-like antagonist is the same Dottore, a copy, or something else before launch.
