Former Epic Games director Arjan Brussee is building a new game engine called The Immense Engine. The engine is designed as a European alternative to Unreal and Unity.
Engine will be fully European-hosted
The Immense Engine will be fully hosted in Europe, built by European developers, and comply with European regulations. Brussee sees an opportunity for AI agents to significantly boost productivity.

Brussee said that if you are smart and know how to put a good framework of AI agents to work, you can do the work of ten or fifteen people.
The engine targets game developers looking for a European-hosted option with AI integration. Brussee's background includes work on major game engines at Epic Games.
The announcement was reported by Video Games Chronicle and De Technoloog. Brussee has not confirmed a release date or pricing for The Immense Engine.
