FEVM (Fenwei) has introduced the FNGT5 PLUS, an open external GPU dock that supports both Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink connections. The device targets desktop users who want to expand their graphics capabilities without internal expansion slots.
External GPU dock with built-in 600W power supply supports Thunderbolt 5 and OCuLink connections for desktop users.
The dock features a built-in 600W power supply with a peak output of up to 900W. It operates silently at loads under 250W and maintains noise levels below 40dB even at full 600W capacity. The unit includes one Thunderbolt 5 upstream port with 100W PD-out, one Thunderbolt 3 downstream port with 30W PD-out, two USB-A 3.2 ports, an OCuLink connector, and an RJ45 Ethernet port.

The hardware relies on the Intel JHL9480 controller for connectivity management. It incorporates a Redriver signal chip to maintain data integrity and uses an OCuLink connector rated for 1000 insertion cycles. The dock supports external graphics cards with a total graphics power under 500W.
FEVM sets the base price at 1699 CNY (about $250). This pricing positions the FNGT5 PLUS as an accessible option for users seeking dual-interface connectivity in a single enclosure.
The product targets the Chinese market exclusively. FEVM has not confirmed international distribution plans or specific launch dates beyond the current announcement.
