The next Fable game now has a release date. It launches on February 23, 2027, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement came during the Xbox Games Showcase.
Villain Isabel revealed at Xbox Games Showcase
Developed by Xbox Game Studios, Fable is a reboot of the beloved fantasy series. The game adopts a mockumentary style with a serious tone. It introduces the main villain Isabel, played by Hayley Atwell.
According to Xbox Wire, Isabel is a driven, powerful Hero on a quest to make right a tragic injustice. The game was delayed from 2026 to avoid proximity to Grand Theft Auto VI.
A Premium Edition will offer early access starting February 5, 2027. No pricing details have been announced yet.
Fable is the latest entry in a franchise that began in 2004. The previous mainline game, Fable III, released in 2010. This reboot has been in development for several years.
