DJI has launched the Osmo Mobile 8P, a smartphone gimbal with a new accessory called Osmo FrameTap. The FrameTap allows users to control selfies and video recording remotely and can function independently of the gimbal.

The Osmo Mobile 8P features a 3-axis gimbal with an integrated tripod and a 215 mm extension rod. It includes the Multifunction Module 2, which offers eight brightness and color temperature options for fill light. The gimbal supports ActiveTrack 8.0 technology and has a battery life of up to 10 hours.

Pricing starts at 159 EUR
The Osmo Mobile 8P starts at 159 EUR (about $187). A bundle with the Multifunction Module 2 costs 189 EUR (about $222), and the Creator Combo with the Mic Mini 2 is priced at 219 EUR (about $257). The gimbal has been available in China for a few weeks and is now rolling out globally.
The Osmo FrameTap accessory expands the gimbal's functionality by enabling remote control, which can be useful for solo content creators. The Osmo Mobile 8P builds on DJI's line of smartphone stabilizers with improved tracking and lighting options.
