Capcom has released Devil May Cry 5 on PC, and the platform now offers extensive modification capabilities that expand the game's original features. A new weekly mod coverage section highlights how the PC version allows players to access content that was previously locked or unavailable. These modifications transform the standard experience by adding co-op functionality, visual enhancements, and performance tweaks.
Visual upgrades mimic Special Edition lighting via screen-space techniques
Players can install mods using Fluffy Mod Manager and REFramework to unlock new gameplay modes. SSSiyan's Collaborative Cheat Trainer adds Turbo Mode, which boosts the game speed by 20 percent, and enables Legendary Dark Knights mode. This same trainer also allows players to use any character in any mission through Divergence Mode. Dante and Raz0rr's Co-Op Trainer further expands multiplayer options by enabling cooperative play across every mission in the game.

Visual upgrades are available through Naxshe's Ray-Tracing Config, which uses SSGI to mimic the Special Edition's lighting. This configuration requires a Patreon donation for the underlying plugin. Cosmetic mods also restore outfits from previous series entries like DMC2 and DMC4. A Notebookcheck author noted that these modifications provide cool outfits that the developers did not include in the base release.
Full ray tracing support for PC remains unconfirmed. The author states that full ray tracing, including ray-traced reflections, will not come to Devil May Cry 5 on PC unless Capcom actually adds it. The current modding scene relies on screen-space techniques to approximate these effects rather than native hardware acceleration.
The developers have not confirmed a launch window for native ray tracing support. The community continues to rely on third-party tools to enhance the visual fidelity and gameplay flexibility of the title.
