Dell 14S Laptop Launches Fall 2026 With Color Options and HDMI Port

Dell is launching the Dell 14S laptop in Fall 2026 with a focus on color choices and practical port selection. This approach targets students and young professionals who need reliable daily machines without premium price tags. The device offers more connectivity options than the company's XPS 13 line, which matters for users who still rely on standard HDMI displays and wired headphones.

The Dell 14S (model DS14270) runs on Intel Core 5 350 or Core 7 350 processors. It pairs these chips with 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5x-7647 memory. The system weighs 2.65 pounds (1.15 kg) and comes in four distinct finishes: linen, dusty rose, washed denim, and velvet green. Dell head of product Matt McGowan stated that color is the central design story for this device.

The laptop features a 14-inch display with two resolution options. Buyers can choose a 1920 x 1200 60Hz panel with 300 nits brightness or a 2880 x 1800 120Hz panel with 450 nits brightness. Both screens are non-touch. The chassis includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Storage capacity reaches up to 1TB via an M.2 PCIe SSD. The base battery holds 61.2 WHr, but Dell offers an optional 750 ED PNCM battery. The company claims this optional battery supports up to 21 hours of Netflix streaming. Dell has not yet released specific pricing but expects the 14S to cost similarly to the XPS 13.
