Budget laptop targets students with local AI processing

The laptop runs on the Core 3 304 processor, which belongs to the Wildcat Lake family. CIG equipped the system with 11 Pro to provide a familiar operating environment for business and personal use. The machine weighs 1.2kg, making it portable enough for daily commuting or travel between classes and offices.

UniBook AI Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core 3 304 (Wildcat Lake)
  • Memory: 8GB LPDDR5 (6400 MT/s)
  • Storage: 256GB PCIe 3.0 SSD
  • Display: 14-inch 1920×1200, 100% sRGB
  • Weight: 1.2kg

Hardware specifications include 8GB of LPDDR5 memory running at 6400 MT/s and a 256GB PCIe 3.0 solid-state drive for storage. The display is a 14-inch panel with a 1920 by 1200 resolution that covers 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut and reaches a maximum brightness of 300 nits. Power comes from a 53.38Wh battery cell to sustain operation through a workday.

CIG states that the built-in NPU handles local AI workloads such as text rewriting, real-time voice transcription, and image generation. These functions run directly on the device rather than relying on cloud servers, which helps protect user privacy and reduces latency. The combination of the Intel Core 3 chip and the NPU allows the system to manage these tasks efficiently within its low price tier.

The UniBook AI launches in overseas markets starting June 26, 2024. Early buyers can secure the device for 449 USD, while the standard price is set at 499 USD. This pricing structure positions the laptop as an accessible option for consumers seeking AI-enhanced computing power at a value-oriented cost.
