A key detail from CAPCOM is that save data from the demo will not carry over to the full game. Players who purchase Resident Evil Requiem after trying the demo will need to replay those initial sections. This policy differs from previous entries in the series, where demos often allowed progress to transfer.

Historically, Resident Evil titles have offered demos weeks before launch. The 1-Shot Demo for Resident Evil 2 Remake launched two weeks prior to release with a strict 30-minute limit. More recent examples include the Chainsaw Demo for Resident Evil 4 Remake, which also arrived 15 days before the full game.

The decision to wait three months before releasing the demo suggests CAPCOM's confidence in the game's commercial performance. Producer Masato Kumazawa previously stated that the studio wanted to focus on delivering a polished final product. The high sales figures indicate that this strategy has paid off so far.

CAPCOM is currently working on a DLC story expansion for Resident Evil Requiem. Additionally, they recently released a bonus mode titled 'LEO N MUST DIE FOREVER' as free content. These ongoing updates demonstrate the studio's commitment to supporting the game post-launch.
