Competitive first-person shooter players can now access a display with a 500Hz refresh rate, a speed that significantly reduces visual lag during rapid movements. AOC introduced the AGON AGP277QK, a 27-inch gaming monitor designed to minimize the delay between player input and on-screen action. This high refresh rate targets users who prioritize frame delivery speed over static image quality.
Fast IPS panel delivers ultra-low input lag for competitive shooters
The monitor utilizes a Fast IPS panel to deliver WQHD resolution across its 27-inch screen. This panel type allows for faster pixel transitions compared to traditional IPS displays, which supports the aggressive 500Hz timing. The device includes built-in 5W stereo speakers and VESA 100x100mm mounting compatibility for flexible desk setups.
Specifications
- Panel: 27-inch Fast IPS
- Resolution: WQHD (2560×1440)
- Refresh Rate: 500Hz
- Response Time: 0.3ms MPRT / 0.5ms GTG
- Connectivity: 2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DisplayPort 2.1
AOC specifies an Ultra-Low Input Lag feature to further reduce keyboard and mouse latency for competitive titles. The panel achieves a 0.3ms MPRT response time and a 0.5ms GTG response time to maintain clarity during fast motion. Visual fidelity includes a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and coverage of 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Connectivity options consist of two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 2.1 input to handle high-bandwidth signals. The display supports NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible technology to prevent screen tearing during variable frame rates. It also offers 1.07 billion color depth and 450 cd/m² peak brightness for clear visibility in various lighting conditions.
We touched on AOC Q27V6L/WW 27-inch Monitor Launches with in our earlier Aoc coverage. The AGON AGP277QK represents a shift toward extreme refresh rates in the mid-size gaming segment. The monitor is available starting June 23, 2026, with no pricing details released at this time.
