MSI announced the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X28 monitor on May 20, 2024. This new display features a 34-inch Samsung 5th Gen QD-OLED panel with a 1800R curved design. The monitor targets users seeking high refresh rates and improved text clarity for mixed workloads.
The screen delivers a 3440 x 1440 resolution with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports a maximum refresh rate of 280Hz and claims a 0.03ms GtG response time. Brightness reaches 300 nits for standard dynamic range content and peaks at 1300 nits for high dynamic range content under VESA True Black 500 certification. The panel covers 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color space and 97.8% of Adobe RGB.
MSI states the monitor uses an improved sub-pixel layout to enhance text readability. This design moves closer to traditional LCD RGB arrangements to reduce visual artifacts. The display includes an anti-reflection coating to minimize glare. Connectivity options consist of two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4a input. A USB-C port provides DisplayPort Alt Mode and 15W of power delivery.

The monitor costs 6,499 CNY, which is approximately $951. It is available for purchase on Chinese e-commerce platforms as of May 20, 2024. The stand allows for height adjustment from 0 to 110mm, tilt, swivel, and pivot functions. It supports VESA 100 x 100mm mounting and weighs 9.5kg with the stand attached.
This release expands MSI's QD-OLED lineup with a focus on ultrawide productivity and gaming. The combination of high brightness and fast response times addresses common OLED limitations.
