TeamGroup Inc. has agreed to pay $1.1 million, approximately 7.96 million RMB, to resolve a class-action lawsuit concerning alleged false advertising of memory speeds.

Settlement covers US consumers who purchased affected DDR3/4/5 modules between May 2020 and April 2026.

The settlement applies to consumers in the United States who purchased affected DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 modules between May 3, 2020, and April 8, 2026.

Consumers claimed that the advertised memory speeds were misleading because the modules could not reach their rated frequencies under default factory settings without manually enabling XMP or EXPO configurations in the motherboard BIOS/UEFI.

TeamGroup Inc. denied all allegations of misconduct and maintained that its product labeling complied with regulations.

Settlement funds will be distributed to individuals who submit valid claims through the official claims center website by July 7, 2026.
