The new build includes LibreSSL 4.3.0 with support for MLKEM768_X25519 keyshare in TLS connections. OpenSSH has been updated to version 10.3. Ice encryption is now enabled on arm64 devices, supporting RK3588 and RK3576 system-on-chips along with the Genesys Logic GL9755 SDHC controller.
System-level improvements cover multiple areas. The luna88k compiler switched to gcc4. SMP enhancements arrived alongside a drm update based on Linux 6.18.22. Developers added SMU support to amdpmc and fixed floating-point state leakage on AMD Zen and Zen+ processors. Better CPU core management now handles processors with different speeds, and delayed hibernation is available.
Pre-built packages include GNOME 49, Chromium 147.0.7727.101, Firefox 150.0, ESR 140.10.0, Sudo 1.9.17p2, Python 2.7.18 and 3.13.13, and Xfce 4.20.0. The release also features a new song titled Diamond in the Rough. Floppy disks remain a valid boot option for legacy systems.
